NBRA NEWS: FEET TO THE FIRE VIDEO, A MUST SEE

FEET TO THE FIRE VIDEO - Don’t miss seeing our new NBRA video featuring the song “Feet to the Fire” by Lloyd Marcus that is posted on our website and YouTube.

NBRA BLOG - Linked on our website is our NBRA Black Republican blog that includes our current and past articles that you may have missed.  We had over 5 million hits on our website in 2008 alone, and our blog site is also becoming very popular.

NFRW CONVENTION - For those who will be in Florida during September, please note that NBRA Chairman Frances Rice will be a guest speaker at the National Federation of Republican Women’s 35th Biennial Convention that will be held from September 10-13, 2009 in Orlando, Florida.  She will speak at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, September 13th during the NFRW’s Awards Luncheon that will be held at the Caribe Royale Hotel & Convention Center.  Among the other confirmed speakers for the four-day convention are Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, Motivational Speaker Mason Weaver and Angela McGlowan, founder and CEO of Political Strategies & Insights.  For additional information visit the NFRW’s website.

CELEBRATING THE LINCOLN BICENTENNIAL – The NBRA is paying tribute to the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial during 2009.   We encourage you to join in the celebration and plan bicentennial activities to honor the legacy of President Abraham Lincoln, our great Republican President.  To obtain information and materials for your Lincoln Bicentennial activities, contact Randy Wiseman, elementary education coordinator with the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois at: Randy.Wiseman@illinois.gov

Wayne Perryman, author of the book “Unfounded Loyalty” designed a marvelous poster for President Lincoln, using a portrait of Lincoln drawn by an 18 year old young lady from Longview, Washington.  The poster honors Lincoln and sets the record straight regarding his relationship with black Americans, reminding all Americans of the tremendous contribution that he made to the world at-large by re-uniting our country.  The Curator of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum has added the poster to their permanent collection.

NBRA EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGN DONATIONS – We need your help.  All who wish to help put up our “Martin Luther King was a Republican” billboards around the country are encouraged to please send a donation by check or money order made payable to:  NBRA and send to:  5824 Bee Ridge Road, #419, Sarasota, FL  34233.  We are also partnering with groups of college and young Republicans, assisting them with their campaigns to educate young people about the core values of the Republican Party and the true history of civil rights.  Our effort includes purchasing copies of Perryman’s poster for use in our NBRA educational campaign.  Thank you in advance for your contribution.

THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION’S CULTURE OF CORRUPTION – Author Michele Malkin’s new book “Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Cronies” is a New York Times Bestseller.  If you want to gain an inside look into just how corrupt is the Obama Administration, this is a must read. It is available on the Internet website for Barnes & Noble.
