The Globetrotters helped boost attendance by offering a $6 ticket to community groups. "The discount coupons made the event affordable for families" "We made an effort to reach out to organizations who sponsored tickets for Chicago area youth groups" said team CEO Kurt Schneider, who was court side for the game.

The award winning South Shore Drill Team performed prior to the game, while the renowned Jesse White Tumblers provided the halftime entertainment.

The game featured high flying dunks and dazzling dribbling as the Globetrotters once again defeated their rivals, The Washington Generals. WGCI Morning host, Tony Sculfield and WVAZ on air personality Ramonski Luv were added to the Generals roster.

Chicago Bears defensive Tackle Israel Idonije received a load ovation when he joined the Globetrotters on the court during their football routine. The big guy missed his first shot, then missed a dunk attempt, but on the third try, he made a lay up.

A special on court presentation was made to Secretary Of State Jesse White by Globetrotters CEO, Kurt Schneider, who thanked the Secretary for his support of the team and youth. Chicago promoter Tom Finch, who was retained by The Globetrotters to handle publicity and promotional duties said "This event reached deep into the community, everyone had fun and enjoyed a Family Fun outing" "The venue ran out of popcorn, that tells you that the fans overwhelmed expectations" "The Globetrotters are Chicago's Own and fans are looking forward to their next homecoming"

The audience included Secretary Of State Jesse White, Cook County President, Todd Stroger, Clerk Of The Circuit Court, Dorothy Brown and Miss Illinois, Katie Lorenz
