Grove Co.’s Bold, Sustainable Rebrand Recognized in The Dieline Awards 2024 Sustainable Packaging Category

SAN FRANCISCO , May 08 /Businesswire/ - Grove Collaborative Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: GROV) (“Grove” or “the Company”), the world’s first plastic neutral retailer, a leading sustainable consumer products company, certified B Corporation, and Public Benefit Corporation announced that its recently launched rebrand of flagship owned brand Grove Co. has been selected as a winner in the Dieline Awards 2024 Sustainable Packaging category for Home, Shopping, & Other Markets. For the past 15 years, the Dieline Awards have formally recognized the best packaging design worldwide, becoming the premier industry-wide benchmark for design excellence in consumer products.

Grove Co.’s rebrand rose to the top of more than 1500 entries from 35 countries, earning second place in the Sustainable Packaging category, which highlights innovative design that helps advance environmental objectives while emphasizing the importance of reducing the packaging industry’s ecological footprint. Other brands recognized in the category include Target’s Figmint earning first place and Acer ebii earning third place, with Patagonia and UniSleep included on the Awards shortlist earlier this year.

“The goal of this rebrand was always to help Grove Co. products land in more carts so that our ‘Go Beyond Plastic’ message could reach more customers and we could introduce change in sustainable consumer products to more homes,” said Lucy Leahy, General Manager of Grove Collaborative’s Owned Brands. “Having our team’s hard work recognized with this amazing award only lends more credence to our efforts to demonstrate to consumers that reducing their reliance on plastic in these categories is not only possible, it's beautiful.”

The Grove Co. rebrand aimed to enhance the visibility of products on retail shelves, underscore its commitment to reducing plastic, and lean into the beauty of more sustainable packaging choices. At the heart of the rebrand is the emphasis on Grove Co.'s material selection, particularly infinitely recyclable aluminum, chosen for its scalability and sustainability. The new branding highlights the brilliance of brushed aluminum as a symbol of reduced-plastic swaps while also introducing a more experiential element to the packaging through bold fragrance illustrations, designed to better evoke the high quality ingredients and gorgeous natural origin fragrances to be found within each bottle.
