NAACP To Open NY Headquarters

THE BLACKSTONE GROUP COMPLETES CENTENNIAL GIFT TO NAACP WITH DONATION OF OFFICE SPACE 

WHO:
NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous; NAACP Chairman Julian Bond; NAACP Vice Chairman Roslyn M. Brock; NAACP Chairman Emeritus Myrlie Evers-Williams; New York State Conference President Hazel N. Dukes; The Blackstone Group President & COO Hamilton (“Tony”) James; The Blackstone Group Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Real Estate Jon Gray and members of the NAACP Board of Directors.

WHAT:
Jealous, Bond, Brock, Evers, Dukes, James and Gray will lead a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the NAACP New York Development office at 1095 Avenue of the Americas.

The NAACP New York Development Office, located at 1095 Avenue of the Americas, is the completion of the Blackstone Group’s Centennial gift to the NAACP. Blackstone, headed by Steve Schwarzman, is an international alternative asset manager headquartered in New York City. During the NAACP Centennial Convention last July, Blackstone was the largest contributor to the NAACP.
