Vibrantz Technologies releases its first corporate social responsibility report

HOUSTON , April 23 /Businesswire/ - Vibrantz Technologies today announced the release of its first corporate social responsibility (CSR) report. As the company celebrates its second anniversary, the report marks a significant milestone, highlighting Vibrantz’s foundational 2023 sustainability efforts and strides toward fostering an ethical, inclusive and responsible business culture. Organized to reflect the company’s CSR focus areas, the report discusses 2023 progress and key performance indicators (KPIs) for 2024 onward.

Some of the 2023 CSR milestones outlined in Vibrantz’s report include completing an in-depth materiality assessment, establishing the company’s “Vibrantz in Action” (VIA) philanthropy program, finalizing Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions baseline, and advancing its sustainable procurement program. Also in 2023, Vibrantz developed an organic growth roadmap underpinned by investments in products like its revolutionary Pearls tinting system, reflective pigments for improved recycling and building energy efficiency, and battery-grade manganese sulfate as a key input for electric vehicle batteries.

As part of the report, Vibrantz has committed to CSR KPIs focused in the following ways.

  • Ethically centered: The company aims to bolster its safety culture by progressively lowering its total recordable incident rate and is in the process of completing a global supply chain review to drive operational sustainability and accountability.
  • Socially connected: In 2024, Vibrantz aims to achieve 40% employee participation in VIA and grow the feedback rate of its “Every Voice” employee survey.
  • Environmentally responsible: With a 2022 baseline set, the company aims to reduce its total Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2025 and has set ambitious site-specific environmentally friendly initiatives around the world.
  • Financially disciplined: The company will conduct and share LCA results for six more products by end 2025 and has provided detail on eight near- and longer-term growth opportunities that align with its competencies and key macrotrends.

“This inaugural report is a reflection of where we are today and an inspiring blueprint for our future,” said Michael Wilson, Vibrantz president and CEO. “The information and highlights within this first report represent our purpose in action and underscore our commitment to becoming world-class with a sound CSR mindset at the core of our strategy. Our employees’ dedication to excellence is evident in every product and project we undertake, delivering on our promise to make every day brighter and more functional for customers and consumers.”

“We are proud of the CSR-minded work we have undertaken quickly since our start as a company in 2022 and even prouder to present this report highlighting the many ways we advanced in 2023,” said Alison Landis, vice president, associate general counsel and CSR council lead at Vibrantz. “Our purpose manifests itself daily in the work our employees do to serve our stakeholders and communities. I look forward to sharing future updates as we advance our CSR efforts and continue to elevate the everyday.”
