Bayberry Town Center Breaks Ground

MIDDLETOWN, Del. , May 07 /Businesswire/ - Blenheim Group, the company that developed the 1,500-acre Village of Bayberry master-planned community just north of Middletown, Delaware, announced today it is starting site development activity at the highly-anticipated, 280,000-square-foot Bayberry Town Center.

Bayberry Town Center will be anchored by a flagship, 64,000-square-foot Weis Markets and fuel facility. This first-class grocery store will be complemented by a diverse group of tenants, including full-service and fast-casual dining restaurants and neighborhood service providers such as a bank, pet store, spa, and nail salon. In addition to Weis Markets and a Weis Gas N’ Go Fuel Center, Blenheim Group has signed leases with other retail tenants, which will be announced soon. The company is also working directly with numerous prospects who are seeking to locate in the center.

Initial work over the coming months will include bulk earthwork, site grading, and installation of utilities. Building construction on Weis Markets is expected to begin in the fall of 2024. Weis and several other stores are anticipated to open in 2025.

"As we enter the next phase of development at the Town Center, we are focused on delivering essential services and exciting dining concepts to our thriving community,” says Jay Sonecha, President of Blenheim Group. “With a large grocery store as our anchor, we are building a hub that reflects our commitment to enhancing daily life not only for residents in The Village of Bayberry but the larger community around us as well. The start of site development marks yet another exciting milestone in our mission to create an outstanding lifestyle and retail experience for everyone to enjoy."

When complete, Bayberry Town Center will also feature professional office space, two beautiful green spaces for community programming, 145 townhomes on the property, and internal street and trail connectivity with over 3,000 homes.

The Town Center will bolster an already thriving community. The Village of Bayberry is a vibrant, first-class residential community located along Boyds Corner Road (Rt. 896) between Jamison Corner Road and Routes 1 & 13. The development includes almost 2,700 homes (1,900 sold) in an idyllic setting featuring 600 acres of open space that offers miles of walking paths, parks, playgrounds, picnic pavilions, lakes, and several luxury clubhouses.

Bayberry Town Center has additional in-line and pad site restaurant and retail space available. For leasing opportunities, please contact Jim Tancredi with LMT Commercial at JTancredi@LMTCRE.com or (302) 222-7574.
