Edelman Financial Engines Recognized in America’s Greatest Workplaces 2024 for Women Award by Newsweek

BOSTON , May 07 /Businesswire/ - Edelman Financial Engines (EFE), America’s top independent wealth planning and investment advisory firm, announced today that it is recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women 2024 by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group. This survey of over 142,000 women included representation at over 848,000 companies in America. The award was evaluated on various categories including compensation and benefits, work-life balance, and proactive management of a diverse workforce.

“At EFE, we’re committed to creating an exceptional employee experience, and to being the premier destination for the best talent in the industry – across our financial planning team, our workplace business and all of our critical functions that help drive our success,” said Erin Lovering, Chief Human Resources Officer at Edelman Financial Engines. “A priority focus for us is on fostering an inclusive environment where women feel encouraged to build and grow their careers in financial services. We recognize that the wealth management industry has made significant strides to support women in recent years, yet we know much more can still be done. Having a diverse workforce that reflects the viewpoints and experiences of all groups – including women – is important for our employees to thrive and for us to keep delivering extraordinary service to our clients.”

EFE is proud to provide several opportunities for women to shape their learning and development within the organization. As part of our Women in Leadership and Women Planner in Leadership ERGs (Employee Resource Groups), employees can participate in speed networking events, book clubs and financial planning webinars focused on women. EFE also celebrates female colleagues every year with the Women of Distinction Award, a peer nominated award organized by our Women in Leadership ERG.

“Despite advancements in workplace equality, women still encounter significant barriers in terms of leadership opportunities, fair compensation, and other forms of discrimination. Recognizing and addressing these challenges are crucial for progress,” said Newsweek Global Editor in Chief Nancy Cooper. "It is important to highlight companies that are leading the way in fostering a culture of equality and respect. To that end, Newsweek and Plant-A Insights are proud to introduce America's Greatest Workplaces 2024 For Women."

The study involved an assessment of publicly accessible data, discussions/interviews with HR professionals, and large-scale confidential online surveys conducted among women working for U.S. companies that employ more than 500 employees in 2023 and that employ more than 1,000 employees in 2022. It consisted of five parts: a pre-study survey, the main survey, desk research, media monitoring, and data validation/final ranking.
