PARTNERSHIP WITH CHILDREN STUDENTS FROM PS 316 IN PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN WILL PAIR UP WITH VOLUNTEERS FROM AMERICAN EXPRESS TO PARTICIPATE IN A FUNDay AT THE SOUTH STREET SEAPORT MUSEUM AND PARTAKE IN THE TASTE OF THE SEA AND IT'S ALIVE  PROGRAMS ON TODAY, MARCH 25TH AT

IN TASTE OF THE SEA, YOUNG GREENHORNS BECOME SAILORS-IN-TRAINING ABOARD THE TALL SHIP PEKING.  THROUGH HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES AND GUIDED EXPLORATION OF THE 1911 BARK, STUDENTS DISCOVER THE CONDITIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND REGIMEN OF A SAILOR, AND CONSIDER THE VALUE OF COMMUNITY AND TEAMWORK ON A SAIL ACROSS THE ATLANTIC OCEAN.   ANOTHER GROUP WILL PARTICIPATE IN IT'S ALIVE, ALSO ON THE PEKING, WHERE THE CHILDREN WILL SEE AND HANDLE SAMPLES OF LOCAL MARINE LIFE IN THE MUSEUM’S LIVING HARBOR WET LAB. THEY WILL ALSO LEARN ABOUT THE HARBOR’S FRAGILE ECOSYSTEM AND HOW TO PROTECT IT. IN ITS FOURTH YEAR, FUNDay PARTNERS IS AN INITIATIVE OF PARTNERSHIP WITH CHILDREN.

IN 1908, IT IS CURRENTLY CELELBRATION 101 YEARS OF OPENING HEARTS, INSPIRING MINDS.  TODAY PARTNERSHIP WITH CHILDREN OFFERS INDIVIDUAL, SMALL GROUP, CRISIS AND FAMILY COUNSELING TO OVER 12,000 AT-RISK CHILDREN IN 24 SCHOOLS IN ALL FIVE BOROUGHS OF NEW YORK CITY
