PROTESTORS WANT THE NYPD HEAD TO LEAVE

By Black Radio Network Staff

NEW YORK - Activists have massed outside New York City Hall, demanding the firing of the NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton.

Dressed in #BlackLivesMatter shirts and carrying signs naming victims of police violence, the demonstrators are also seeking reparations be taken from the N YUPD budget to pay victims of police brutality.

A leader of the protest, Jose LaSalle, said the community does not want to wait for Bratton to voluntarily step down next year, but wants his immediate resignation “so police reform can start now.”
