Suited For Change - Empowering Low-Income Women to Transition to Workforce

 

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. SUITE PURSUIT 17th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Seventeen Years Empowering Low Income Women to Enter the Workforce

WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 13, 2009 – The 17th annual Suited for Change Celebration & Auction will be held at the Naval Heritage Center in Washington, DC. Founded in 1992, Suited for Change provides professional clothing and ongoing career and life skills education to low-income women to increase their employment and job retention potential and to contribute to their economic independence. Services are available at no charge and by referral only to low-income women who have completed job readiness programs and are seeking employment.

In 2009 Suited for Change helped over 1,300 low-income women take their first steps towards realizing the dream of meaningful employment and economic independence.
