Participating local faith-based partners include: New Birth Baptist Cathedral of Faith Intl., Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, and Antioch Missionary Baptist Church; other national community partners will also be in attendance. This event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 12:00 p.m.

100 Black Men of America Chairman Albert E. Dotson, Jr.; nationally syndicated radio personality and best-selling author Michael Baisden; editor-in-chief Emeritus of Essence Magazine and National CARES Movement Founder/CEO Susan L. Taylor, 100 Black Men of America Chairman Emeritus Thomas W. Dortch, Jr. and more will serve as presenters during the two-hour community event.

Representatives from 100 Black Men of America, National CARES Movement, Big Brothers Big Sisters, The United Way, local faith-based organizations, various community groups and more will be in attendance to educate participants about various mentoring programs and opportunities in their respective organizations. Additionally, Michael Baisden will announce his partnership with these organizations and his personal commitment to mentorship through his 2010 cross-country tour - "Save Our Kids."

"Both Michael Baisden and I reside here in the South Florida area and are equally committed to making an impact in neighborhoods and communities not only in Florida but also across this nation," said Dotson, who in addition to serving as Chairman of the 100 Black Men of America, is also a South Florida resident. "While the members of the 100 gather from across the country and convene at our annual Chapter Summit in Miami on December 10 - 13, our foremost goal is to always deposit back into the community we visit by igniting a fire for mentoring and volunteering that will burn in the hearts and minds of leaders in that area."

ABOUT THE 100 BLACK MEN OF AMERICA, INC

100 Black Men was founded as an organization in New York City in 1963. The national organization, 100 Black Men of America, Inc. began with nine chapters in 1986 as a national alliance of leading African American men of business, public affairs and government with a mission to improve the quality of life for African Americans, particularly African American youth. Today, under the direction of Albert E. Dotson, Jr., the organization has 118 chapters in the United States, England and the Caribbean. The 100 serves as an international coalition focused on creating educational opportunities, promoting economic empowerment, addressing health disparities and creating positive mentoring relationships.

ABOUT THE MICHAEL BAISDEN FOUNDATION

The Michael Baisden Foundation is partnering with national and local organizations to support the efforts of Mentor organizations and organizations that support children. Over the past 4 years the MBF has donated nearly a half million dollars to other 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations throughout the U.S. to help support Youth Organizations. In February 2010, The Baisden Live National Tour to "Save Our Kids" will launch in Florida. In every city, Michael is donating $5,000 per affiliate market and challenging his listeners in every market to beat it. He's making a difference, a donation and an impact in every city and along the way!
