African American Golfer's Digest Looking for Nominees for Leaders in Golf Award

 Nominations Are Now Being Accepted For The 2010

“Outstanding Leaders in Golf” Awards

SELECTION CRITERIA
 
The African American Golfer’s Digest, the nations leading print publication and online portal for avid Black golfers, is currently accepting nominations for its  2010 “Outstanding Leaders In Golf Awards.”  The candidates we seek share a commitment to professional excellence and for growing the game, business, careers and participation of golf among African Americans. 
 
Candidates may be persons of any ethnicity who have made a substantial impact on the game of golf and/or the golf industry as it relates to the African American community particularly. Candidates can be nominated by themselves or others.  Candidates must be at least age 21.
 
Candidates for the award are not required to be actual players of the game of golf, as their contributions to the sport are more strongly considered in being honored with this prestigious award.  Candidates can be nominated from within all sector categories of the golf industry, i.e., course owners, managers, trainers, authors, scholarship program leaders, entrepreneurs, inventors, developers/manufacturers of golf equipment, researchers, club directors, architects, superintendents, educators, museum curators, golf course designers, program founders, etc.

The “Outstanding Leaders In Golf” award recipients will be recognized for their contributions to the African American community and for the success they have achieved in their business and professional careers.  Their profiles will be featured in the Winter/January 2010 edition of the African American Golfer’s Digest and they will be honored during our signature awards program on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
 
The awards program is conveniently held during the second day of the 57th annual PGA Merchandise Show & Convention in Orlando, Florida, where more than 45,000 attendees and over 1,500 exhibitors have convened at this, the largest annual golf trade-only show of its kind in theU.S. and an ideal environment to advance careers and business.   Registration is required for entry to the Show floor of this exposition.  For show registration information visit www.PGAShow.com
