New AppWork Intelligence capability turns technicians’ short and vague completion notes into clear resident communication and structured operational data, with no change to how technicians work
RAMSEY, N.J., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — AppWork, the maintenance operations and risk management platform for multifamily property management, today launched Enriched Completion Notes, a new AppWork Intelligence capability that automatically rewrites every Work Order completion note into a complete, professional update for residents and a reliable record for operators.

The capability is live today for all AppWork clients at no additional cost.
The completion note is the last thing a technician writes to complete a job and the first thing a resident reads about it. Written quickly, on a phone, between units, it is typically a word or two: “Fixed,” “Replaced lights,” “Reset breaker.” For residents, that reads as dismissive. For operators, it leaves Work Order history too thin to support reporting, repeat-issue detection, technician coaching, or the documentation that lawsuits, insurance, and warranty claims depend on.
Enriched Completion Notes run in the cloud the moment a technician completes a Work Order. It reads the technician’s note alongside the Work Order’s description, category, photos, logged parts, and timeline, then produces a single note, written in the technician’s voice, that explains what was found, what was done, and the result. It corrects spelling and grammar, removes slang and unprofessional language, and replaces terms that can create liability for a property with plain descriptions of what was observed. The technician’s original note is preserved on every Work Order and remains one click away for staff.
“The industry has spent a decade trying to get technicians to write better notes,” said Sean Landsberg, Co-founder and CEO of AppWork. “We built AppWork so that every technician actually uses it, which means every Work Order already carries the context a note is missing.
This is the first place we’ve turned that context directly into something a resident reads. It’s also a preview of what AppWork Intelligence will do everywhere else: take the actual data AppWork captures and hand it back to operators as insights they can act on..”
The launch reflects the model that distinguishes AppWork in the maintenance intelligence category. The platform is built so every technician actually uses it, which creates a steady flow of actionable maintenance data that comes directly from the work itself. That data powers AppWork Intelligence, the growing set of AI tools built into the platform. It already includes Work Order Characterization, Triage, Insight Reports, and Auto-Assignment. Enriched Completion notes is the newest addition, with more on the way.
As Appwork Intelligence grows, accuracy stays front and center. Enriched Completion Notes comes with clear guardrails: it is built to elaborate only on what the technician reported, and never adds details they did not provide. Every note stays true to the work that was actually done, so operators can trust what they’re reading.
For operators, Enriched Completion Notes delivers improvements across several areas at once: resident communication that names the reported problem and confirms it was addressed; consistent, structured notes that make Work Order history usable for reporting and portfolio analysis; risk management through the removal of liability-creating language and the flagging of sensitive notes, incomplete repairs, pending parts, and repeat issues; and operational visibility for managers through badges on the Work Order that surface what needs a second look.
Enriched Completion Notes is available now to all AppWork clients with no setup or configuration required.
