AUTHOR ZAJI PENS SPECULATIVE SCIENCE FICTION NOVEL "WHEN WE WERE ONE"

When We Were One cover

New York, NY (BlackNews.com) - Freelance journalist, poet, and author Zaji, pens her first, mind bending, thought provoking novel When We Were One (Zaji Publishing). Available via Ebook at: zajipublishing.com or paperback at: zajiwrites.com

Inspired by the likes of Octavia Butler, Ray Bradbury and George Orwell, When We Were One, will have readers' minds travelling to the outer limits of space, and back, in the genre of Speculative Fiction Sci-Fi.

Set on the planet Parthos, a race of women have lived in relative peace for centuries. But strange forces have come through the ages to finish what it started. These women are unique in many respects, but none of their abilities can outweigh their ancient methods of reproduction. This, and the very thing that makes them strong, are what the visitors seek.

The strange forces that have returned have their eyes on these women who have lived for millennia unfettered. These forces would do anything to acquire the secrets of this ancient culture. The sisters must go back through the annals of time to learn what they had forgotten. Perhaps, it is in the past that they might be able to save their future.

When We Were One, honors women and their relationships, and it honors men and their connection to women, while taking readers on a tour through memories of days gone. It is a journey that uncovers the soul of women and the spiritual miles they have trodden. When We Were One also honors nature and the vastness of the many universes' that speckle the darkness.

Zaji's first novel, When We Were One, is her effort to share something new with readers, ensconced in something old. She loves to read, write and play the piano. She resides in Pennsylvania, surrounded by nature.
