Barbara Lee to Participate in National HIV Testing Day

 

 

Washington, D.C. – On Thursday, June 25, 2009, at 11:00AM on the House Triangle Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA-9) along with the National Association of People with AIDS and Reps. Maxine Waters (D-CA), Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) and Donna M. Christensen (D-VI) will host a press conference to underscore the importance of HIV testing and encourage all people to get tested and know their status.

Following the conclusion of the press conference, Congresswoman Barbara Lee and other Members will proceed to the Prevention Works HIV Testing Van, which will be located at the corner of New Jersey Avenue and C Street, SE to be tested. Testing will be available to all until approximately 3:00pm. All testing and results will be confidential.
