Black Caucus Names Taskforce Appointees

WASHINGTON - Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Emanuel Cleaver, II has just announced the leadership of the Congressional Black Caucus Taskforces for the 112th Congress:

 

“I am pleased to announce the leadership of our 112th Congress Taskforces. As we celebrate the 40th Anniversary of our founding, we are proud to continue our legacy as “the Conscience of the Congress”, and to remain steadfast in shaping public policy initiatives that empower our communities today and for generations to come. I am confident that our Taskforce Chairs will do a magnificent job in leading the way.”

 

Taskforce Appointments:

112th Congress CBC Taskforces & Chairs

Budget, Appropriations, and Taxation will be co-chaired by Congressmen Charles Rangel and Bobby Scott

Civil Rights and the Judiciary will be chaired by Congressmen John Conyers and John Lewis

Economic Development and Wealth Creation will be co-chaired by Congresswomen Maxine Waters and Yvette Clarke

Education and Labor will be co-chaired by Congressmen Chaka Fattah and Danny Davis

Energy and the Environment will be co-chaired by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and Congressman Bobby Rush

Foreign Affairs and National Security will be co-chaired by Congressmen Donald M. Payne and Bennie Thompson

Healthcare will be chaired by Congresswoman Donna Christensen

Technology and Infrastructure Development will be co-chaired by Congresswomen Eddie Bernice Johnson and Laura Richardson
