ESPN Launches 24 Hour Spanish-Language Station In Tampa

 

ESPN Deportes Radio WAMA 1550 AM Launches in Tampa

 

TAMPA, Fla., -- ESPN, Inc., announced today that ESPN Deportes Radio, the only around-the-clock national Spanish-language radio network in the U.S., launched in Tampa as ESPN Deportes WAMA 1550 AM. WAMA is owned by ZGS Communications, a Hispanic-owned media company with interest in radio, television and web.

"This is a great step forward in our effort to make ESPN Deportes Radio available to Hispanics in leading U.S. Hispanic markets," said Oscar Ramos, senior director and general manager, ESPN Deportes Radio.
