First Lady of Ghana to Speak at Project C.U.R.E. First Ladies’ Luncheon


MillerCoors Sponsors Annual Fundraiser to Boost Awareness of Healthcare Needs in Ghana and 
Fund the Delivery of Medical Relief to Hospitals and Clinics in the Country

 

WHAT:            Project C.U.R.E. and MillerCoors will host the third annual First Ladies’ Luncheon, honoring Her Excellency, Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, the first lady of Ghana. The first lady will deliver the keynote address, discussing health care needs in her country and how contributions to Project C.U.R.E. locally can make an impact on global health care. The goal of the event is to raise enough money to deliver more than $2 million in life-saving medical supplies and equipment to hospitals and clinics in Ghana.

 

Several first ladies will be attending the event including co-chairs Jeannie Ritter, first lady of Colorado; Frances Owens, former first lady of Colorado; Wilma Webb, former first lady of Denver; and Susan Kiely, one of the first ladies of MillerCoors. The event will host approximately 1,800 of Denver’s business and community leaders. 

 

                                                                               

WHO:              Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills is the wife of the president of the Republic of Ghana, John Evans Atta Mills. She hopes to improve health care infrastructure at hospitals and clinics in Ghana through her association with Project C.U.R.E.

 

Project C.U.R.E. is a nonprofit, humanitarian relief organization that delivers donated medical supplies, equipment and services to medical professionals and the patients under their care in developing countries. Currently, Project C.U.R.E. is the world’s largest organization of its kind, delivering on average two 40-ft. cargo containers of medical relief every week. Since 1987, Project C.U.R.E. has delivered medical relief to people in need in more than 120 countries worldwide.
