Grammy-Award winner teams up with American Cancer Society

“Cancers For A Cause” Reception and “Full Moon: A Night of Stars” Anniversary Fashion Soiree

 

(Atlanta, GA) Grammy-Award winning super-producer, Polow Da Don and his label, Zone 4, Incorporated, have teamed up with the American Cancer Society and Upscale Magazine to launch Foundation F.O.C.U.S. The foundation will host a pre-launch reception titled, “Cancers For A Cause,” at the W Atlanta Downtown on Wednesday, July 15, 2009. In addition to the reception, the two-part launch will have a 2nd year anniversary fashion soiree for Zone 4, Inc. titled, “Full Moon: A Night of Stars,” which will be held at the prestigious Club Opera on Thursday, July 16, 2009.

 

Foundation F.O.C.U.S., which stands for ‘Focusing On Completion Until Successful,’ is in accordance with Polow Da Don’s highly successful record label, Zone 4, Incorporated. The foundation concentrates on instilling a desire for education, interpersonal skills, networking and marketability within the community. Foundation F.O.C.U.S. will provide assistance thru a variety of programs, seminars and panels to ensure success in producing educated, humble and goal-oriented individuals.

 

The pre-launch of Foundation F.O.C.U.S. is devoted to educating and spreading awareness about cancer, which is currently the second leading cause of death in America. The most recent study from the International Agency for Research on Cancer predicted that cancer will replace heart disease as the number one cause of death by 2010.

 

“Cancer affects everyone, and we want to take this opportunity to educate and raise awareness amongst our peers and the Atlanta community as a whole,” states Mia A. Welsh, General Manager of Zone 4, Incorporated.

 

The American Cancer Society is presenting the reception, “Cancers For A Cause,” which will unite tastemakers of Atlanta for an evening of music, artistic expression and most importantly education towards enlightening people about cancer.

 

The fashion soiree will serve as a dual-celebratory event for the two year anniversary of Zone 4, Incorporated as well as the official launch of Foundation F.O.C.U.S. The event will feature a high-end fashion show attributing the ongoing success of the label as well as the future of the foundation. The evening concludes with the official after party which also takes place at Club Opera.
