Health Care Town Hall Meeting

Experts and Everyday Residents to Discuss Country’s Urgent Need for Reform

Highland Park, NJTomorrow, Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 7:00 pm NJ residents from across the State will gather at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 67 Church Street in Montclair, NJ for a Town Hall on National Health Care Reform.  Invited speakers include US Senator Robert Menendez and Congressman Bill Pascrell (D-8).  Experts including Richard Kirsch – Director of the National Health Care for America Now Campaign (HCAN) – will discuss how health care reform legislation is working its way through Congress this year and what form it will take. NJ residents including small business owners, workers, consumers and veterans will be sharing their own health care horror stories as we confront the most important domestic policy reform since Social Security and what it could mean for families in NJ.

The Town Hall is organized by New Jersey Citizen Action and the NJ Health Care For America Now (HCAN) Campaign.   HCAN is a national grassroots campaign of more than 850 organizations in 46 states representing 30 million people dedicated to winning quality, affordable health care we can count on in 2009.  HCAN’s organization and principles are supported by President Obama, Vice President Biden, and more than 190 Members of Congress.
