Hispanic Host of Sabado Gigante Don Francisco To Be Keynote Presenter at Summit

NEW YORK, - Leading television industry trade publications Multichannel News andBroadcasting & Cable have announced that Mario Kreutzberger, best known to millions of television fans as "Don Francisco" will present the Opening Keynote speech at the Seventh Annual Hispanic Television Summit. Don Francisco is the longtime host of Univision Network's Sabado Gigante (Giant Saturday), the longest-running variety show in the world, and host of Don Francisco Presenta (Don Francisco Presents). The appearance by Don Francisco marks his first return to the Summit since receiving the Lifetime of Achievement in Hispanic Television Award in 2003. The coveted award is presented to one individual, each year, at the Summit, and Don Francisco was the Award's first recipient.

The presentation topic about the evolution of advertising in Hispanic television is particularly appropriate since, for the first time, the Hispanic Television Summit is part of this year's annual Advertising Week in New York. The Summit is the Hispanic cornerstone for the week-long series of events that focuses on the economic influence of the advertising, media and marketing industries.

Sabado Gigante has been on the air for 47 years and is recognized by the "Guinness Book of World Records" as "the longest running television variety program in the world created and hosted uninterruptedly by Mario Kreutzberger, better known as Don Francisco."

"Don Francisco has been satisfying advertisers on Hispanic TV longer than anyone else I can recall. Given his years of experience, we thought he was best to speak about the development of Hispanic TV advertising," said Larry Dunn, Group Publisher of Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News. Dunn continued, "We are honored that Don Francisco has accepted our invitation to participate and we look forward to his entertaining and informative presentation."

The Hispanic Television Summit has been presented annually since 2003 by Broadcasting & Cable andMultichannel News. It attracts more than 400 attendees from across the U.S., and Latin America. The Summit has become the television industry's signature conference for executives involved in the business of television and digital video targeted to the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American viewing audiences.

The Summit has been produced each year by New York-based Schramm Marketing Group, Inc., a strategic services company which includes among its specialties, the marketing of TV content intended for Hispanic audiences.

The Summit is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23 (Registration and Opening Reception begins at 1 pm) and Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square New York.
