Hollywood To Open Its Wallets For Sudan

Save the People, Save a Nation — Sudan Hope VIP Fundraising Gala to be Held in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.---Saturday night, November 21st, 2009, The Renaissance Hollywood Hotel will be the site of a Hollywood red carpet, VIP fundraising gala to support the causes of the nonprofit charity organization Sudan Hope.

The event will be hosted by producer/actor and member of the Sudan Hope Board of Directors, Dr. Mark Valinsky.

A select guest list of VIPs from entertainment, business, politics and philanthropic backgrounds will enjoy an introductory insight into the upcoming film “Without A Voice.” Attendees will hear the life-changing story of how Mr. Les LaMotte and Mr. Stephen Chambang were able to “Take Action” and “Empower” 250,000 villagers during the Sudan war conflict and help save their lives by supplying the “Boat of Hope.”

The film “Without A Voice” is in pre-production. It is a story inspired by Les LaMotte, who began shooting footage in March of 2009 in South Sudan. The two co-founders Les LaMotte, Executive Director, and Stephen Chambang, Director of African Affairs, after 8 years were able to meet in Stephen’s home village of Maker, located in the Eastern Upper Nile region of South Sudan, Africa.

Based on the accomplishments of the leadership of Sudan Hope, the organizers Les LaMotte, Stephen Chambang and Mark Valinsky have been asked to expand their work to all of East Africa to launch the Sudan Hope Network™, which will include purpose-based learning via the internet, video and live presentations in conjunction with major US-based universities.

This VIP fundraiser will support the supply of 3 million textbooks and 36 multipurpose network buildings over the next 3 years.

Using an innovative and resourceful approach, new buildings will be constructed from the textbook shipping containers. These specialized containers will be enhanced with plumbing, electrical and water utilities using the latest “Green” technology. They will be powered by both solar and wind energy sources. These technologies will be used on site and taught to the local people to develop entrepreneurial skills.

These multifunctional building structures will improve the lives of over 9 million South Sudanese people. They are designed to become libraries, medical clinics, schools and entrepreneurial training and consultation centers. The facilities will aid the over 1 million war handicapped, widows and orphans of South Sudan. They will be cared for and trained in valuable, new useable skills.

As part of the gala fundraising event guests will experience a “sneak preview” of the timely and strategic upcoming documentary and feature film “Without A Voice” projected with the next-generation, advanced breakthrough technology of 4K video, onto a 17' x12' screen.

Additionally, there will be the “live” musical release of “Without A Voice.” The song lyrics are written by Les LaMotte, 2009 Nominee for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, Jason Roberge (Minneapolis, MN) and Peter Farrell (Glascow, Scotland). The music was composed and produced by Raphael DeGiorgio of Diamonddreamsmusic.com and a live vocal presentation of the movie’s theme song will be performed by the young female rising star - artist, writer and music producer, Moriah.

The Sudan Hope gala is a semi-formal, black tie optional event and will feature a hosted bar. Guests will be served appetizers.

Admission is by accepted RSVP only. This is a fundraising event. If interested in attending, please submit for consideration your RSVP toRSVP@SudanHope.org

The gala event will be produced by Valinsky Media Group and BackStage Digital Media in conjunction with the Hollywood Music in Media Awards and Music in Media Conference.

Join us in support of the goals of Sudan Hope and its great causes to raise awareness, provide resources and empower into the future the nations and people of South Sudan and East Africa.
