Last opportunity for Hudson County families to receive 0% financing for 48 months, an offer that will not return through 2027

JERSEY CITY, N.J., Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Holy Name Cemetery & Mausoleum will host its final Open House Weekend of 2026 on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 823 West Side Avenue in Jersey City. The weekend is the last chance to receive 0% interest financing for 48 months, an offer that will not return through 2027.

As the only cemetery in Hudson County with Catholic burial space still available, Holy Name offers families a final resting place near the parishes, neighborhoods, and loved ones that matter most.

“Planning ahead is one of the most loving gifts you can give your family,” said Joseph Heckel, Executive Director of Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Newark. “It spares them from making difficult decisions during a time of grief and ensures your wishes are honored in a way that reflects your faith.”

Open House Weekend highlights include:

  • 0% interest financing for 48 months, available only during Open House Weekend.
  • Guided mausoleum tours of climate-controlled chapels with marble crypts, cremation niches, and stained-glass artwork.
  • Traditional burial options on landscaped grounds with views of the New York City skyline.
  • One-on-one guidance from Memorial Planning Advisors on pre-planning, immediate needs, and financing.

Advisors can also help families keeping a loved one’s cremated remains at home arrange a dignified, permanent burial space.

The event is free and no appointment is needed. Visitors are encouraged to register in advance at rcancem.org/open-house/holy-name or call 866-PRE-PLAN (866-773-7526).

By setting aside a holy place for burial, we provide a fitting environment for full liturgical celebrations. Just as in life, we believe that in death the human body deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. We also foster a type of remembering that is enlightened by faith and sees death as a bridge to the communion of saints. Our bonds with the believing are not broken by death.
