Ivanka Trump To Keynote Women's Conference

GARDEN CITY, NY - Ivanka Trump, one of today’s most recognized and influential young business women, will be the keynote speaker at the National Association of Professional Women’s (NAPW) First Annual Conference at New York’s legendary Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on April 29th, 2011.

NAPW is the fastest growing and one of the most recognized professional women’s organizations in the country. It is an exclusive 360 degree networking organization that has over 107 NAPW local chapters and more than 150,000 professional women from across the United States. Members utilize the association’s dynamic online platform, as well as in-person networking events to showcase their businesses and gain exposure for their professional endeavors.

The Conference will assemble registered NAPW member-guests from across the United States for a full day of speeches and formal and informal member-to-member networking.

The conference will provide an opportunity for members to ask questions of and engage with conference speakers about financial matters, career and business development, mentoring and advice for supporting small businesses growth, new product and service introductions and breaking through the “glass ceiling” in corporate America.

After brief introductory comments, including her personal experiences related to her role in The Trump Organization and the launch of her jewelry, shoe and handbag lines, Ivanka Trump will offer insights about the role of women in today’s economic marketplace, the importance of networking for today’s professional women and the importance of building and maintaining a business and career-building brand, Ms. Trump will answer questions from individual NAPW members.

“I am thrilled to be the keynote speaker at NAPW’s First Annual Conference. Networking has been an extremely important part of my career within the Trump Organization and it has been critical to my success in the worlds of jewelry and fashion,” says Trump. “The networking opportunities and the information that will be offered at the April conference are sure to give NAPW’s members a competitive edge when it comes to advancing their professional stature and their commercial success.”

Ms. Trump, Executive Vice President of Development & Acquisitions of the Trump Organization’s real estate interests, is, along with her two brothers, responsible for the firm’s domestic and global expansion.

In addition, Ivanka Trump is a principal of Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, which launched to great success in 2007.Ms. Trump also recently announced a partnership with Marc Fisher footwear to launch the Ivanka Trump Footwear Collection, a partnership with Mondani Handbags and Accessories to launch Ivanka Trump Handbags and a partnership with Fleet Street for a line of outerwear.

Ms. Trump is currently one of the stars of NBC's widely successful "Celebrity Apprentice" with her father, Donald J. Trump, and her brother, Donald, Jr. In October 2009, Touchstone Hardcover, a division of Simon & Schuster, published Ms. Trump's first book, The New York Times Bestseller, “TRUMP CARD: Playing to Win in Work and Life.”

Ms. Trump graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania and received a bachelor's degree in science in economics.

According to Matthew Proman, Founder of the National Association of Professional Women, April’s conference is a natural extension of our online and local chapter membership benefits. “For some time now, members have been eager to meet and exchange ideas with other members from around the country. Our First Annual Conference has been tailored to encourage networking and learning in a vibrant yet intimate setting, while promoting friendships that are sure to last a lifetime,” Matt notes.

Jan Hopkins, President of the prestigious Economic Club of New York and former CNN anchor and correspondent will serve as host of the NAPW First Annual Conference.
