J.CREW AND ECKHAUS LATTA LAUNCH A LIMITED-EDITION COLLECTION REIMAGINING THE ICONS OF AMERICAN SPORTSWEAR

NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Today, J.Crew and Eckhaus Latta launch a limited-edition collection of J.Crew icons reimagined through the distinctly modern and irreverent lens of designers Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta.

The collaboration builds upon the overwhelming response to Eckhaus Latta’s interpretation of J.Crew’s signature Rollneck™ for Rollneck Remix earlier this year. What began with a single sweater has evolved into a deeply thoughtful men’s and women’s collection spanning knitwear, outerwear, shirting, denim, bottoms and accessories, along with a Rollneck™ for kids.

The collection began in the J.Crew catalogs. After rummaging through decades of archival materials, Mike and Zoe pulled inspiration from the colors, proportions and iconic styles that defined the brand throughout the ’90s. Familiar archetypes including the Barn Jacket, Rollneck™, rugby shirt, chino, pleated skirt, twinset and duffle coat are reworked through unexpected texture, proportion and construction, creating pieces that feel recognizably J.Crew but unmistakably Eckhaus Latta.

“The inspiration for us was really J.Crew. It is an iconic American brand with a rich heritage. We rummaged through a lot of its catalogs from the ’90s as points of reference. That period was our childhood, so our aesthetics and tastes will always be shaped by it,” said Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta.

The resulting collection plays with the tension between the two brands without diluting either point of view. The ribbed Rollneck™ returns alongside a layered interpretation of the Barn Jacket, double-waisted chinos, paneled “carwash” skirts, overlapping button-down shirts and reworked catalog jeans. Knitwear ranges from an archival Art Sweater reinterpreted in stripes to marled separates, brushed cashmere accessories and a shrunken cashmere cardigan set.

“We wanted to preserve the experimentation, individuality and sense of community that make Eckhaus Latta so distinctive, along with the unpretentious New York energy they bring to clothes designed for how people actually live. The catalogs became a major source of inspiration, revealing an era of the brand that already possessed a little downtown tension. Mike and Zoe pulled that spirit forward through their own perspective, creating a collection that feels unmistakably J.Crew, but unexpected enough to make you look twice,” said Olympia Gayot, Creative Director of Women’s and Kids at J.Crew.

Denim becomes a particular point of experimentation, with familiar catalog-inspired silhouettes transformed through unexpected washes. “This collaboration is a celebration of the expansiveness of American style and the many ways it can be interpreted. Great collaborations create new entry points into each brand, and the campaign brings that idea to life through a house party where the J.Crew and Eckhaus Latta communities come together. Everyone is invited to enter the world of the collection, wear it and make it entirely their own,” said Julia Collier, Chief Marketing Officer of J.Crew.

The collection made its runway debut on September 11 during Eckhaus Latta’s Spring/Summer 2027 New York Fashion Week show.

The Eckhaus Latta x J.Crew collection is available now at jcrew.com and in select J.Crew stores. Prices range from $75 to $650.
