Dr. Hai will begin seeing patients on October 1, 2026, at OCLI Vision’s Lake Success and Mineola locations, where he will provide advanced, comprehensive care for patients with glaucoma and other complex eye conditions.
Dr. Hai brings extensive clinical training and a strong commitment to research-driven care to OCLI Vision. As a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist, his expertise includes the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, surgical treatment of complex disease, and the care of patients with challenging ocular conditions. He is dedicated to integrating the latest clinical research and advances in ophthalmology into individualized treatment plans designed to preserve vision and optimize long-term visual outcomes.
Dr. Hai earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences after completing a Master of Science in Medical Sciences at Boston University. He completed his ophthalmology residency at BronxCare Health System, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. He subsequently completed a Glaucoma Fellowship at the Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois Chicago, receiving advanced subspecialty training in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and complex ocular disease.
Throughout his training and career, Dr. Hai has been recognized for both academic and clinical excellence. He received the BronxCare Ophthalmology Best Research Project Award as well as the Professionalism in Medicine Award from Northwell Staten Island University Hospital. His commitment to clinical research reflects his broader approach to patient care: combining evidence-based medicine, advanced surgical expertise, and individualized attention to each patient’s unique needs.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Hai is proficient in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, allowing him to communicate with and provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population.
