KINDREDGEAR.COM LAUNCHES ONLINE CONTEST AIMED AT INVESTING IN THE ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT OF AMERICA

-- Kindred Gear, a Las Vegas based ecommerce t-shirt website announces the launch of the "1 million t-shirts entrepreneur challenge -- Americans Investing in Americans" contest to spark interest in American entrepreneurship. --

Las Vegas, NV (BlackNews.com) - Kindred Gear, a Las Vegas based ecommerce t-shirt website, announces the launch of the "1 million t-shirts entrepreneur challenge -- Americans Investing in Americans" contest to spark interest in the critical role of entrepreneurs in rebuilding the American economy. The contest will run through the end of the year and everyone who purchases a t-shirt through kindredgear.com, will be eligible for a $100,000 cash prize to be used towards launching an American based business. Consumers should also register to ensure eligibility. The prize will be awarded after the 1 millionth t-shirt is sold.

The state of the current economic crisis inspired Kindred Gear owner, Eric Deal to use his own business to inspire others, affected by job loss and dissatisfaction, to consider using their skills to launch their own ventures. The hope is that other business owners and retailers will follow the lead and embrace the idea of Americans helping Americans. According to recent statistics, small business owners were the largest employers, a trend Eric hopes will continue to surge.

For so long, Americans have only been consumers, a largely one-sided relationship, yielding little in the way of reciprocation from retailers earning billions in profit. Kindred Gear hopes to establish a new standard of entrepreneurial philanthropy, where the consumer is more directly rewarded for their support of a business. It is a way for businesses to give back and further empower those that have contributed to its success.

Eric is a graphic artist and graduate of College of Southern Nevada. While working a job during the day, he began designing clothing only as a hobby, but, when initial success confirmed interest in his products, Eric took the leap, leaving his job and starting his own business. According to Eric, "All the hard work and sleepless nights paid off when I saw the website up and running."

Also co-founder of the website www.myafricandiaspora.com, the designer's journey began after tracing his African ancestry. While the first website focused on the informational aspects of connecting the African Diaspora, the Kindred Gear website was designed to manifest ancestral pride and other abstract design ideas in a line of clothing.

The Kindred Gear collection features Abstract, Hip Hop and Ghana Adinkra Symbol lines. Products include long and short sleeve t shirts, sweatshirts, caps, tanks, bags and home accessories.
