Latino Stars Signing On For Reality Dance Show

MIAMI, FL - Univision continues to announce the list of celebrities who will take part in its new reality dance competition, “¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing!). Popular Mexican singer/actress Rosa Gloria Chagoyán, “Lola, La Trailera,” is the first female celebrity to join the glitzy new program in which celebrities will be partnered with amateur dancers to win a grand prize on behalf of the charity of their choice. Chagoyán will compete against previously announced boxing champion Héctor “El Macho” Camacho and eight other celebrities which will be announced by the network in the coming days.

Considered one of Mexico’s most legendary actresses, Rosa Gloria Chagoyán’s career extends to television, theatre and film. Among the many projects she participated in throughout her career, it was her very own movie franchise titled “Lola, La Trailera” that won her the most popularity. Her pioneering portrayal of “Lola,” as one of the first female heroines, forever changed the role for women in Mexican cinema and became a symbol of strong and empowered women everywhere. Produced by Chagoyán herself, with the help of her husband as director and executive producer, the movies also marked an important era in the Mexican film industry as they helped revive a dwindling movie market at the time.

Now Chagoyán makes her highly anticipated return to the small screen where she will continue to represent strong women everywhere and demonstrate that they can conquer any challenge with grace and charm.

The Ten celebrities will compete in front of a live audience every week, dancing to a variety of different rhythms (Tango, Salsa, Merengue, Cha-Cha-Cha and Rock n’ Roll, among others) and will rotate partners to demonstrate their versatility on the dance floor.

An expert panel of judges will select the best each week, while the others will be left at the mercy of the viewers to decide who will be eliminated. These ten celebrities will need to demonstrate that they not only have the talent to rule the dance floor, but the charisma to win viewers’ hearts. In the end, only one celebrity will win the ultimate prize to be donated to the charity of their choice.
