Latino Theater Company Holds Annual Gala at L.A. Theatre Center Oct. 3

The Latino Theater Company Announces Third Annual Gala at the Los Angeles Theatre Center on October 3. Hilda Solis, Castulo de la Rocha, and Jimmy Smits to Receive Honors
 

 

 

LOS ANGELES, -- The Latino Theater Company will host its Third Annual Los Angeles Theatre Center Gala on Saturday, October 3, 2009. The black tie event is held each year to support the Los Angeles Theatre Center, a world-class arts center for those pursuing artistic excellence, where the convergence of people, cultures, and ideas take place on the LATC's four stages.

 

The event includes the presentation of the Marco Antonio Firebaugh Legacy Awards, named for the late California State Assemblyman and advocate for education for all. The honorees this year are the Honorable Hilda Solis, United States Secretary of Labor; and Castulo de la Rocha, President and CEO of AltaMed Health Services and Jimmy Smits, Actor/Producer.

 

A cocktail reception commences at 6 p.m., followed by a gourmet dinner at 7 p.m., succeeded by the main program at 8 p.m.

 

Many dignitaries and Hollywood celebrities are expected to be in attendance.

 

Individual tickets to the event are $300. Table sponsorships are available from $5,000 to $25,000.
