HOLLYWOOD, Fla., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Memorial Healthcare System has named Madison Workman, FACHE, chief executive officer of Memorial Hospital Pembroke, where he will oversee hospital operations and continued growth centered on patient care. Madison Workman, CEO of Memorial Hospital Pembroke

Workman most recently served as chief operating officer of Broward Health North, a 409-bed Level II trauma hospital, where he oversaw approximately 800 employees across clinical and support services. His responsibilities expanded to include Broward Health’s systemwide Safety and Security program and leadership of its COO Council. During his tenure, he helped lead more than $100 million in construction and capital investment while advancing initiatives focused on hospital operations, patient throughput, quality and expansion.

“Madison is a proven healthcare leader who knows how to bring people together and turn ambitious goals into measurable results,” said Shane Strum, president and CEO of Memorial Healthcare System. “He has demonstrated an ability to improve patient and employee experiences, lead through periods of significant growth and change, and translate strategy into action. His collaborative leadership style and genuine commitment to the people he serves make him an outstanding choice to lead Memorial Hospital Pembroke into its next chapter.”

“I’m honored to join Memorial Healthcare System and have the opportunity to lead Memorial Hospital Pembroke,” said Workman. “This is a hospital with a strong team and an important role in the community. I look forward to working alongside our physicians, nurses and staff to build on that foundation, expand access to high-quality care and ensure we continue delivering an exceptional experience for every patient and family we serve.”

Workman’s earlier leadership experience includes serving as chief operating officer of HCA Florida University Hospital and holding hospital- and market-level executive roles with Tenet Healthcare. At HCA Florida University Hospital, he helped the hospital achieve the No. 1 patient experience ranking in its division and the 88th percentile nationally according to Press Ganey, while increasing employee engagement scores and supporting significant surgical growth. During his tenure with Tenet, Workman ultimately provided strategic and operational oversight across five Miami-Dade hospitals representing more than 1,700 beds and a $750 million operating budget.

A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2021, Workman serves on the board of directors of ACHE of South Florida and received the organization’s Service Leadership Award in 2022 and 2025. He has also been recognized by South Florida Business & Wealth’s Excellence in Healthcare Awards and as a South Florida Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree.
