Minorities And Women In Law Encouraged By Inclusion Legislation Moving Forward

Milwaukee, WI, - The National Association of Minority and Women-Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) applauds Representative Maxine Waters, Congresswoman of California’s 35th District for sponsorship of the reform bill "Inclusion of Minorities and Women; Diversity in Agency Workforce."

Waters is pushing that the provision requires each federal financial agency, the Fed Board of Governors and the 12 regional Fed banks to "establish an Office of Minority and Women Inclusion."

NAMWOLF lauds Congresswoman Maxine Waters for her persistence in advocating for minority-owned businesses”, said Yolanda Coly, Managing Director of NAMWOLF. “For too long minority and women owned firms have been shut out of business opportunities. Congresswoman Waters support for M/WBEs continues to be tremendous step forward for minority and women owned businesses.”
