Minority Youth Activist Named To 'Who's Who List'

HEPHZIBAH, GA, -- Henry T. Armstrong III, Crime Prevention Consultant for Ounce of Prevention Services, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in intervention programming.

As CEO and Owner of Ounce Of Prevention Services (OOPS), Inc. for the past 16 years, Mr. Armstrong, skilled in people management, is responsible for consulting with parents and children. As a Crime Prevention Consultant and CEO, he and OOPS, Inc. board members assist in risk prevention and intervention programming for delinquent and non-delinquent youth.

Formerly, Mr. Armstrong gained experience working in the field of Mental Health, Adult Corrections, the Juvenile Justice System, and in the U.S. Military - an 0-4/Major; a 20 plus year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Georgia Air National Guard as a Executive Officer to the Commander and a Human Relations/E.O.T. Officer from 1976 through 1998.

In 1976, Mr. Armstrong received a Bachelor of Arts from the highly esteemed Historically Black College/University Paine College of Augusta, Georgia. He continued his education and concentration of a Masters of Education Degree in Criminal Justice at Troy State University. Mr. Armstrong also furthered his education at Augusta State University and several Military Colleges and Universities; Officer Candidate Institute, D.E.O.M.I., Squadron Officer School, etc.

He currently is active with several local organizations in his home of Augusta, Georgia. He's a supporter and member of several organizations (listed below), which he attributes his success, along with his caring nature towards youth and families. In the future, he intends to continue aiding in the development of crime prevention and social programs working with local school systems and other non-profit organizations.
