TUCSON, Ariz. , April 25 /Businesswire/ - Learning A-Z, a Cambium Learning Group brand, announces that its renowned literacy solutions, Foundations A-Z® and Raz-Plus®, have earned recognition from the Colorado Department of Education as approved supplemental programming for developing reading competency. Both solutions have been officially recommended to support Colorado schools in meeting the diverse literacy needs of their students.

Understanding the importance of tailored instruction, Foundations A-Z has been recognized for offering comprehensive support for K-3 learners in essential areas such as Phonological & Phenomic Awareness, Phonics & Word Study, and Text Reading Fluency. By integrating the latest research-backed strategies, Foundations A-Z empowers educators with explicit lesson plans, embedded bite-size professional learning and digitally assignable resources, ensuring all students receive targeted instruction aligned with the Science of Reading.

In addition, Raz-Plus earned recognition for developing Text Reading Fluency among students in grades 1-3. Reading fluency measures are strongly correlated to reading comprehension—the ultimate goal of effective instruction in literacy. Raz-Plus equips teachers with a vast library of texts and the accompanying resources necessary to develop and assess students’ fluency skills and foster a passion for reading in the classroom.

Through targeted interventions and engaging resources, educators can strengthen foundational literacy skills, setting students on a path to reading success.

"At Learning A-Z, we're empowering educators with effective, research-driven literacy solutions that help move the needle for student reading proficiency," said Aaron Ingold, interim president of Learning A-Z.
