Greetings!

Please be our guest on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 9 am with special guest Rev. Jennifer Ann Bowers, an ordained minister and domestic violence survivor!

Sincerely,
Ivette Attaud-Jones
Rev. Jennifer Ann Bowers, RM, LMT
I was sexually and emotionally abused as a child by family members and a teacher. It lasted until I was in my early twenties. I then experienced sexual harassment while working. When in my mid to late twenties I was married to a man who was abusive. I divorced him and remarried three years later. I began my healing journey in 1992. I used talk and group therapy for the first three years and then began using Healing Touch.

The majority of my healing has been a combination of energy techniques, journaling, poetry, art and self exploration. I did return to a support group five years ago for a year when I received word that one of my offenders had been convicted.

I am now in a place I never dreamed I would be; on the other side of the abuse beyond being a survivor. In 2002 I started my own business as an integrated body worker. I now utilize the abuse experience to help others along their healing journey. Last year, I chose to look back to my childhood, seeking missing pieces of my soul. I rediscovered and reawakened to a new level my passion for creating and creative problem solving. I am in the process of brining this fully into my life and business. In addition to the body work, I now offer photography, photo editing, graphic design and layout, and custom gifts.

I am also an ordained minister with healing being my ministry. Life is now oh so very sweet for me. My healing journey has led me to a place of happiness, strength and hope that I wish others to also experience.
