Navajo Transitional Energy Company Awarded $6.55 Million by the U.S. Department of Energy for Carbon Capture Study at Four Corners Power Plant

FARMINGTON, N.M.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Navajo Transitional Energy Company (NTEC) is proud to announce that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) today awarded NTEC $6.55 million in funding for a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) study to evaluate the feasibility of adding carbon capture and storage (CCS) to Four Corners Power Plant (FCPP). Carbon capture would remove more than 95% of the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions at the power plant. In addition to t
