Northrup Grumman Receives NAACP's Highest Honor

Northrop Grumman Receives Roy Wilkins Award From San Fernando Valley
Branch of NAACP

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Northrop Grumman Corporation
(NYSE:NOC) was presented the Centennial Roy Wilkins Award
from the San Fernando Valley Branch of the National Association for the
Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in ceremonies on Aug. 20.

The Roy Wilkins Award, the highest recognition bestowed by the
NAACP, was given to Northrop Grumman's Navigation Systems Division in
recognition of its outstanding diversity program, employment practices,
educational incentives and community involvement.

NAACP, currently celebrating its centennial year, selected the
Northrop Grumman division for the Roy Wilkins award after a year long
evaluation process. Candace Swinson, operations programs analyst and
chairperson for the company's African-American Task Group (AATG)
Employee Resource Group, accepted the award on behalf of the local
division.

"To stand before you and accept this award for Northrop Grumman
Corporation is such a privilege," said Swinson. "Over my career I have
seen Northrop Grumman foster an inclusive working environment, and I
have listened to our leaders passionately speak on the importance of
diversity. For me, it has instilled loyalty, trust and appreciation."

AATG is one of nine employee resource groups on the Navigation
Systems Division's Woodland Hills campus. The employee resource groups
provide opportunities for professional development and networking in
addition to community outreach opportunities for Northrop Grumman
employees.

"We are honored to receive the Centennial Roy Wilkins Award,"
said Jim Myers, sector vice president and general manager of Northrop
Grumman's Navigation Systems Division. "We not only wish to thank the
San Fernando Valley Chapter of the NAACP for this recognition, but also
send our congratulations to the NAACP on its 100 Year Centennial and
thank this great organization for its valuable work and legacy of
leadership in social justice and equal rights for all."

Northrop Grumman Corporation is a leading global security
company whose 120,000 employees provide innovative systems, products,
and solutions in aerospace, electronics, information systems,
shipbuilding and technical services to government and commercial
customers worldwide.
