ST. LOUIS, July 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Express Scripts (NASDAQ: ESRX) was again recognized with a 100 percent score on the Disability Equality Index® (DEI) for its ongoing commitment to being inclusive and welcoming to people of all abilities. "Express Scripts is proud of being a top-ranked company for disability inclusion for the second consecutive year," said Tim Wentworth, CEO and President of Express Scripts. "It's important to have a culture that celebrates and nurtures the abilities of every employee, where they can be their best selves and do their best work. Only then can we collectively address the needs of the 100 million diverse Americans we serve, and truly be champions for better health."

The DEI, which designated Express Scripts among 126 companies as "Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion," measures key performance indicators across organizational culture, leadership, accessibility, employment, community engagement, support services and supplier diversity.

"Bringing together people of all abilities, backgrounds and experiences makes our teams more dynamic, innovative and productive," said Susan Stith, Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion and Corporate Giving. "Our policies help every one of our 27,000 employees create inclusive environments at work, at home and within their communities. That's how we create a culture that values and learns from our differences to benefit everyone."

Express Scripts' perfect score on the DEI recognizes its inclusive recruitment and supplier policies; as well as employee programs including Express PossAbilities, an employee resource group that serves as an advocate and resource for disability awareness, education and community outreach.

The DEI rates corporations' self-reported disability policies and practices on a scale of zero to 100. Companies scoring 80 or above are recognized as a "Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion."
