SCORE Announces Nationwide Contest to "Put Your Dream to the Test"

Washington, DC- SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business" and Scribd.com, a leading social media Web site, have launched the national "Dream Test Competition" to honor the best business plan with a $10,000 grand prize. The contest is co-sponsored by Thomas Nelson publishers and SUCCESS magazine. It is open to anyone thinking about starting their dream business.

To participate, complete a draft of your business plan for your dream business. Upload the plan to Scribd at www.scribd.com/dream before April 22 for a chance to win $10,000 in start-up funding. A panel of industry experts at SCORE and Thomas Nelson will narrow the entries to 10 finalists. The Scribd community will then vote and select the $10,000 grand prize winner.

SCORE experts can help with creating or updating a business plan. Use the Find SCORE mapping tool to find a local SCORE office instantly at www.score.org/findscore. Mentors offer advice by email through Ask SCORE at www.score.org/ask_score.html.

SCORE, Scribd.com, Thomas Nelson publishers and SUCCESS magazine created the "Dream Test Competition" in celebration of Dr. John Maxwell's new book, Put Your Dream to the Test. Maxwell is an internationally recognized leadership expert and Amazon Hall of Fame member, with books on the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and Business Week bestseller lists.

To enter the "Dream Test Competition," visit www.scribd.com/dream. Official rules, prize description, and guidelines are included. Create a Scribd profile, upload your plan and encourage your friends to vote for your plan.
