NEW YORK – A solemn rally was held today outside the Brooklyn Museum to honor Sonya Massey, who was killed by police.
Those gathered placed flowers and lit candles by a photo of the 36-year-old Black woman shot by a white police officer three weeks ago in her Illinois home.
This rally follows others around the county. Police body cam video just released shows unarmed Massey asking the police not to hurt her when she was shot and killed.
