Tea Party Taps Into Diverse Communities

PHILADELPHIA -- A first of its kind Tea Party called UNI-TEA is staging a major event featuring 14 diverse speakers and seven hip-hop, punk, folk and rock bands, on Saturday, July 31, 2010, 12 to 3 PM at Independence Mall, Philadelphia, PA.

The UNI-TEA event was conceived and named in April 2010 by its President/CEO and Founder, Jeffrey Weingarten, a long term minority community advocate, to expose what the organization considers to be undeserved support for an administration that fosters economic hardship and dependence on government programs.

The speaker line-up includes Deneen BorelliAndrew BreitbartBill GlynnAndre HarperKevin JacksonRosa Pérez LeonettiJanks MortonCharles Payne, and other national TV and radio personalities.  Speeches will center on the loss of jobs, income, education and opportunity among minority communities, relative to increases in the size and power of government.

The purpose of UNI-TEA is to demonstrate that the Tea Party movement is a broad spectrum of Americans who are tired of business as usual in Washington and to show that Tea Party members are simply real Americans who love their country and believe in freedom.  They want nothing more than a clean and safe place to live, work, raise a family and get a quality education for their kids.  This the true American dream.

David Webb, Co-Founder of TeaParty365 and noted TV and radio commentator, will act as emcee. A veteran organizer of numerous Tea Party events, Webb says the program will be inspiring as well as entertaining.

Bands performing throughout the three-hour event include: Ava AstonThe Bangers, Chris Cassone,Hi-CaliberLloyd MarcusPolitikRahwayand The Undead.

Authors Rita CosbyBill GlynnAndre HarperKevin Jackson and Bill Miller will be signing copies of their newly released books.

The outdoor event is free and open to the public. UNI-TEA's local host is the Independence Hall Tea Party Association of Philadelphia.

A second UNI-TEA event, which will take place in Washington DC, will be announced at the Philadelphia event.
