Univision Floods Airwaves Encouraging Hispanic Participation In Census

 

 

  WHAT:            As part of its comprehensive, multi-platform campaign Univision will air a 60-second editorial message from Univision Networks president Cesar Conde encouraging Hispanics to participate in the Census. In addition Univision will use social media platforms to disseminate the same message to its audiences.

DETAILS:     The “Ya Es Hora, Hágase Contar” (It’s Time, Make Yourself Count) campaign focuses on increasing response rates among Hispanic households in order to achieve a full Latino count for 2010 U.S. Census. Univision’s 360 degree approach for the 2010 Census includes PSAs, a toll-free number 1-877-352-3676/1-877-El Censo for questions/guidance, a special TV program and extensive national and local news coverage. Univision, the NALEO Educational Fund, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), National Council of La Raza, ImpreMedia, Entravision Communications, Mi Familia Vota Educational Fund and more than 400 organizations are partners in this effort.
