Women Compete For Miss Black NY, NJ

NEW YORK - The Miss Black New York USA and Miss Black New Jersey USA 2011 Pageant will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 7pm-10pm at Harlem Stage at Aaron Davis Hall in New York, NY.

The event will be hosted by multimedia personality Dee Vazquez, host on The Fuse Network and Sirius Satellite Radio. This year’s celebrity judge panel features Naturi Naughton, effervescent singer and starlet of noteworthy films such as Fame and Notorious; Robin Wilson, nationally recognized eco-friendly and healthy space interior designer; Dominique Sharpton, humanitarian and daughter of political activist Reverend Al Sharpton. Also Shaila Scott, 98.7 KISS-FM’s charming Midday Café radio host will join the panel and announce the 2011 titleholders of Miss Black New York USA and Miss Black New Jersey USA.

This year’s event will showcase 10 stellar Miss Candidates. The winners of Miss Black New York 2011 and Miss Black New Jersey 2011 will each receive the official state crown and sash, $2,500 towards their college tuition, official photo shoot, “Perfect Smile Package" which includes cosmetic consultation, smile enhancement, teeth whitening and Invisalign treatment presented by Dr. Dawn Jones-Sylla of The Madison Avenue Dental Associates, and round-trip air fare to the National Pageant; where they will have a chance to win $20,000 and complimentary gifts and prizes. The Miss Black Teen New York and Miss Black Teen New Jersey titleholders will also be crowned and awarded $1,500.
