The World Editors Forum (WEF) is pleased to confirm that Joe Ageyo, Editor in Chief of Nation Media Group in Kenya, Hannah Sarney Editorial Product Director and Executive Editor at the Financial Times and Veslemøy Hedvig Østrem, Editor in Chief of Altinget, Norway, have agreed to join the WEF Board.
“We are delighted to welcome Joe, Hannah and Veslemøy to the board at this critical moment for journalism all over the world. Their rich and varied newsroom experience, skills and interests will enable us to strengthen our work. It is vital we tap fresh perspectives,” said Martha Ramos, President of the World Editors Forum and Chief Editorial Officer, Organización Editorial Mexicana, Mexico.
Cherilyn Ireton, WEF Executive Director said the new board members join a special community of editors who go all out to push journalism forward while standing firm on its core values.
