In January 2010, Zachary Beck and two other white supremacists attacked a black man in downtown Vancouver, Wash., yelling, "White Power!" "You're dead!" and racist slurs. The University of North Dakota faces a deadline today to comply with the NCAA's policy on mascots "deemed hostile or abusive toward Native Americans."
